I’ve been staying up really late at night obsessively crafting with yarn. Here are some knitting pictures, finally. Additional crochet projects follow. But before that: my spouse turned to me last night and said wistfully,” I’m never going to get to enjoy you leaning against me again when we watch movies at home, am I?” Did I mention that my partner is a sentimental sap? In a good way. So I promised I’d lay off the yarn for one movie a week.

It curls like mad. Hope it will behave after sewing the hem and blocking! I am a lousy knitter. Oh well.

White Quartz Tunic:

Another version of the Smoky Quartz Tunic from Interweave Crochet F06. This time as a cardigan. I’m having trouble finding more Lion Baby Soft in Black; but nabbed a few of the white/cream for this. The cheapest yarn I’ve ever made a garment with, I think. $2.50 for 460 yards sportweight. Because of the open front, I’m having a lot of trouble fitting the sleeve opening/armpit. The front keeps flying open when I raise my arms. One of these days I’ll take a class on fitting garments…

Oh yeah, I also started Totoro, from Hayao Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro. I’m using the pattern from a AngryAngel at Craftster, her FO posted here. Pattern here. Yarn: TLC Essentials in light blue. My (younger) sister says that the twolittle sisters in the film remind her of the two of us as kids. Awww. 🙂
